Ingredients
100 % Japan Sencha Miyazaki PremiumBrew & Taste
A sparkly golden yellow infusion with greenish reflections. A rich and lingering flavor combining the sweetness of ripe fruit with the zesty umami, without any pronounced tannin.
Origins
The Miyazaki Prefecture on Kyushu Island is a region of national parks. The beautiful, pure nature and fresh ocean air lend the local tea gardens the perfect conditions for producing green teas of the highest quality. The most popular of these is definitely sencha, which thanks to its lightness and pleasant taste provides most Japanese people with a daily moment of relaxation from the hustle, bustle and stress.
Japan Sencha Miyazaki Premium is exceptional in many ways. The leaves themselves, from the Yabukita cultivar, are harvested 3-5 days after the first spring harvest. They are then steamed twice, which slightly erodes their texture. This gives them an unmistakable flavor without losing their freshness and richness.
Premium sencha from Miyazaki can impress right out of the box. At first glance, the beautiful emerald color of the gently undulating, glossy tea leaf needles catches the eye. If you take in the aroma, you smell the sea and flowers in perfect harmony. The rich and intense aroma of sencha is retained even after brewing. It is accompanied by a balanced and delicate taste without a trace of astringency. The main feature is the combination of fruit and floral notes, which is permeated with sweetness and has a long-lasting finish. In the first infusion, however, it is mainly umami that you can look forward to. The name of this so-called fifth flavor means 'delicate' in Japanese and in this respect one can only agree with the translation.
