Ingredients
93 % Green tea Sencha, 5 % Lemon peel, Natural aroma, LemongrassBrew & Taste
The light yellow infusion fills the room with its pleasant scent immediately after brewing. The aroma rises like a breeze, with notes of freshly cut grass and freshly squeezed lemon. Lemon Sencha has a balanced, slightly tart flavor with a grassy freshness as its main element. The lemons in it are unmistakable. They are instantly recognizable with the first sip.
Sencha Lemon tea is great for making iced tea. Try pouring lukewarm tea into a glass filled up to 2/3 with ice cubes. You'll get a deliciously refreshing drink.
Origins
The base of this loose goodness is Sencha – Japan's most popular tea, characterized by its delicate needle-like leaves and emerald green color. It is most commonly harvested in the Shizuoka region, where Chinese tea bushes decorate river valleys and high mountainsides. After picking, the tea leaves are left to wilt and then steamed for several dozen seconds. This stops fermentation – the enzymes that cause unwanted oxidation in green teas are destroyed by the heat. The lemon is then rolled into needles, dried and sorted.
Lemons are sourced from certified EU suppliers. Only healthy fruit of the highest quality has been cut into pieces and preserved by the process of freeze-drying (vacuum freezing). Without any chemical substances, the original sensory properties of the fruit as well as the health benefits have been preserved.
