Ingredients
Green tea, Rose Hip skin, Blackberries, Lemon balm, Hawthorn, Chamomile, Natural aromaBrew & Taste
The base for Mood Booster is sencha. This means that the primary flavor will be fresh and grassy, with a hint of floral sweetness. As this loose blend is full of herbs and fruits, you can taste the natural tones chamomile and lemon balm as well as the slight tartness of blackberry. The color of the infusion can be described as a vibrant green with a hint of warm yellow.
Origins
Sencha is a tea that is served everywhere in Japan. If you ask for a good quality drink, you're likely to get Sencha.
It's most commonly grown on plantations in the Shizuoka region, at the foot of the sacred Mount Fuji. The first tea gardens were planted there in 1241. Since then, Shizuoka has produced tea that's popular all over the world. It thrives because of the climate, abundant water and soil conditions, but also because of the proximity to ports and the excellent opportunities for easy distribution.
Japanese Sencha is made somewhat differently than Chinese Sencha. After the green leaves are wilted, they are steamed briefly, whereas in Chinese Sencha, they are roasted. They're then rolled into fine needles and dried. Unlike the Sencha from China, this one is free of smoky aroma.
The other ingredients we have added to Mood Booster are sourced from our European suppliers. We buy our fruits and herbs exclusively from trusted suppliers who have high standards for the preservation and storage of these foods.
