Do pears even need an introduction? In our opinion, everyone should know the beautiful tree from the rosaceae family. Let us briefly recall that the first mentions of pears from the writings of the Greeks and Romans. And there is even evidence of their use as food in prehistoric times, in dwellings around Lake Zurich.
It was the Romans who first cultivated the pear tree. The fruit was eaten raw or cooked like apples. The pear tree also appears in Greek mythology: Zeus' son Tantalus, was sent to the underworld for his unpleasant behavior towards humans, and "properly trained" by a pear tree. When Tantalus, repenting beneath it, grew hungry and reached out for its fruit, the branches rose up and would not let him pluck a single sweet pear.
Pear trees, which love cool, temperate climates, were widespread from the Caspian Sea to the Atlantic. They have been cultivated in China for about 3,000 years. And we can put the same number to the number of varieties – today there are about 3,000 varieties of pears known to be grown almost worldwide.
The English word pear is probably derived from the Latin Pira, meaning fruit, or from the verb pra, meaning to bear fruit.
All the fruit in this tea is preserved by freeze-drying. The special food processing technology does not deplete them of their valuable vitamins, and preserves their color, taste and aroma.
Frosted Pear is balanced by the addition of a few drops of natural flavoring. This ensures that it doesn't lose it can last you for weeks.
