Let's take a peek into the world of its main ingredients and discover what makes them so beneficial for our children.
Apples. Do you know any fruit that’s more associated with vitality than apples? Ours come from European orchards, they’re round and colorful – from green to yellow to deep red. But did you know that the history of apples goes back more than 10,000 years? The first wild apple varieties grew in what is now Kazakhstan and from there, thanks to the Greeks and Romans, they spread throughout Europe. In the Middle Ages, apples were a symbol of abundance and were even believed to have magical powers.
Whether you believe in magic or not, one thing is certain – apples are a rich source of:
- fiber,
- vitamin C,
- antioxidants.
Rosehips can be found on rosehip bushes which grow in the wild throughout Europe and Asia. Every autumn, it yields small red berries which have for centuries been considered a natural treasure among folk healers. Maybe you remember your grandmother making rosehip tea when you weren't feeling well! She knew exactly what she was doing.
Rosehips are one of nature's richest sources of:
- vitamin C.
Lemon grass will charm you with its fresh, lemony scent reminiscent of a sunny summer day. This slender green plant grows mostly in Southeast Asia and has been part of many cultural traditions for centuries.
It contains:
- citronellal,
- geraniol.
Linden blooms and leaves are the most delicate thing you can offer to a child. Linden trees grow all over Europe, blooming in June with tiny yellow flowers that carry an irresistible fragrance. Even in the Middle Ages, the linden tree was considered a tree of peace and harmony under which disputes and family matters were settled.
Its blossoms contain:
- flavonoids,
- essential oils,
- tannins.
This carefully selected combination of herbs and fruit creates a tea that not only tastes good but also benefits the health of children. The delicious fruity taste and natural composition make Herbs for Children an ideal drink for the daily hydration of our youngest.
