Benefits of Shiitake
Mother Nature's apothecary has already introduced us to several representatives of mushrooms that bring well-being to our organism. However, shiitake mushrooms, an indispensable part of most Asian gastronomic specialities, are often forgotten in this respect. However, the infusion of this delicacy's powder is a real boon to our health.
Shiitake, or shiitake mushroom, is a South Asian mushroom that grows on shii trees but also on chestnuts, mulberry trees and oak trees. Increased demand from the culinary industry for this delicacy has led to its purposeful cultivation in Japan, China and Taiwan. Although it has been known in its homeland for its beneficial properties for millennia, the Western world until recently considered it only a source of delicious flavour.
But this is a great injustice to the shiitake (Lat. Lentinula edodes), which contains many beneficial substances for which our bodies can be grateful. For example, it is a rich source of vitamin D, B2 and B6. It also contains lentinan and erythadenine.
The dried and then ground form of shiitake processing is practical. The fine powder can easily be made into a delicious infusion that combines the flavour of porcini mushrooms with nuts. The powder is also added to tea or coffee to enhance its desirable properties. It is recommended to add shiitake to vegetable smoothies, and as far as food is concerned, you cannot go wrong there.
