Origins
All the ingredients in Grapefruit Miracle tea are imported from a certified European supplier. As a result, you can rely on the highest quality – they have been grown, processed and transported with exceptional care, and they have retained maximum health benefits as well as their natural flavor, aroma and color.
Let's start with grapefruits, the citrus fruit of trees that are at home in places like Spain, Turkey, Florida and California. These are plants usually around 10m tall, with evergreen, long leaves. Their fruits are spherical, with yellow skin and juicy flesh divided into several segments. A single tree can yield up to 700kg of bittersweet grapefruit. They contain vitamins C, B1 and K and are rich in potassium and flavonoids. They are used for direct consumption, as part of salads, in drinks or in the preparation of various dishes. By machine pressing the peel of fresh grapefruits, a very strong smelling oil can be obtained, which is used in the cosmetics industry or aromatherapy.
Beets are also worth mentioning. This "ordinary" vegetable with extraordinary properties. Beetroot (Beta vulgaris) is widespread in Asia, Europe and North America. The biennial plant with a large, red tuber has probably been known to humans for more than 3,000 years. There is evidence that in ancient Rome it was sought after both in kitchens and to combat various diseases. Today, beets are one of the so-called superfoods, thanks to their high content of the pigment betaine and the dye betanin. They're also rich in potassium, calcium, sodium, or magnesium, and also contain vitamin C and B vitamins
Lastly, let's take a closer look at apricots, which are particularly high in potassium, phosphorus and calcium, and are valued for their great taste and wide range of uses. Apricots are the fruit of the apricot tree (Prunus armeniaca), native to China. Today, they are grown practically everywhere in Central and Southern Europe. The round fruits, which are most often eaten fresh, can be made into jams, confitures, beverages, even alcoholic ones, or dried.
