Ginkgo Biloba – Powder
It's one of the oldest plants on Earth and deceives with its looks. Ginkgo biloba has existed for over 200 million years and despite looking like a deciduous tree, it is coniferous. It's been used in folk medicine for centuries and old healers prescribe it for stress, pain and inflammation. You can add the leaf powder to porridges or soups, but also to green or fruit tea. Cheers!

The brown-grey powder tastes natural, slightly sweet and a little earthy. It does not dissolve in beverages, but does not harm their taste in any way. You can safely add it to your favorite drink.
Origins
You can recognize Ginkgo biloba at a glance. It is a sturdy tree with a very distinctive crown and flat leaves divided into two lobes. From an evolutionary point of view, it is intermediate between the fern plants and the flowering plants.
The gingko evolved at the end of the Paleozoic period, but by the Tertiary period most species had died out. At present, we can only find one representative – Gingko biloba. It's been on the planet for about 270-300 million years. It used to inhabit the entire northern hemisphere, but over time it gave way to other tree species. Nowadays, gingko trees are native mainly to China, Japan and partly in Europe. They are used not only as ornamental trees for parks and gardens (by the way, the oldest gingko tree in the world is said to be 4,700 years old), but also as a food source. In Asia, for example, people eat its roasted seeds. Apparently, they can soften the effects of alcohol. You should consume it responsibly, as long time consumption can cause poisoning, especially in children.
It may come as a surprise to learn that the leaves of gingko biloba have only been used in folk medicine since the mid-20th century. Although they contain around 40 active compounds and are so highly regarded in East Asia that they are planted outside temples, it was not until 35 years ago that they came to the attention of scientists.
Today, extracts from the leaves of gingko are one of the most widely used dietary supplements in the world. The most reliable way to reap all the benefits that ginkgo biloba leaves offer is to take them in powder form. This way, all the health benefits can be absorbed. These include, among others, the ability to support proper brain, heart and liver function.
Ginkgo biloba can reduce blood clotting.
