Ingredients
Apple, Raisins, Elderberry, Black Elderberry flower, Strawberries, Goji, Beetroot, Orange Tree Petals, AromaBrew & Taste
The dark, ruby color with violet reflections in this tea is all thanks to the elderberries and beets. The flavor is dominated by elderberries and underlined with juicy strawberries and apricots, with a slightly acidic contrast provided by raisins in the background. The honey aroma makes the tea pleasantly milder with a hint of natural sweetness. The result is a rich fruity impression for the young and elderly alike.
Origins
Elderberries have been harvested and processed in Europe for hundreds of years. The berries are used to make syrups that are added to lemonade or hot water, while the flowers are used to make refreshing elderflower lemonade, which is served cold in summer. In the Middle Ages, elderflower was planted around dwellings because it was believed to ward off evil. There was even a rule against cutting down elderflower bushes, which is why elderflowers still grow near old farmsteads today. Interestingly, elderberry is also used to make fermented beverages such as elderberry wine and champagne.
Strawberries contain more vitamin C than oranges, and any tea blend to which they’re added tastes simply delicious. Goji, known in China as the plant of longevity, also contains a lot of beneficial substances. Beets are similar, and they also brighten the color of the tea.
Orange petals bring a fresh citrus note to the tea, which, together with elderberry and exotic fruits, creates a drink full of life and delicious flavor.
