Ingredients
100 % CHINA GUANGXI JASMINE SILVER NEEDLEBrew & Taste
The infusion has a golden hue that is much more pronounced than in the classic Silver Needle. The full flavor is deliciously sweet with a pleasant, lingering finish. The jasmine is also noticeable, and is intertwined with the tea in a harmonious symbiosis.
Origins
The land of mountains, forests, rivers and extraordinary tea. That's how the Chinese autonomous region of Guangxi could be described in a nutshell. Thanks to the subtropical climate, tea plants thrive here. That's why the tea gardens there have dared to create a true masterpiece. The jasmine-scented Silver Needle is a luxurious experience in itself, but if you give it a few more years of aging, you will get a rare and exceptional white tea that is irresistible.
Only the best, white-fluffed buds are selected for Silver Needle. Harvested entirely by hand, the shoots are gently shaped into thin needles. This is followed by drying, which is normally done in special temperature-controlled rooms, but for Jasmine Silver Needle Beeng Cha direct sunlight is preferred. This gives it plenty of time for natural oxidation, allowing the flavors to blend and the sweetness to come through. Jasmine flowers are then inserted between the shoots, and the aroma of the flowers is drawn in.
Once the needles are dried, they are quickly steamed and pressed into a 200g cakes. If you want to make tea, you need to cut off the required portion with a knife. Everything is then left to ripen in the same way as for Pu Erh. However, the maturation period for Silver Needle is limited, with 7 years being considered the ideal length. Each year of rest brings new dimensions to the tea and it is definitely true, that you have to wait for the good stuff.
