China Bancha – Organic Green Tea
China and Japan, two tea superpowers, have shared approaches to tea production for hundreds of years. This organic green Bancha may be made in the world's most populated country, but the technology used to prepare the tea leaves follows Japanese practices. It has a mild, sweet taste and a pleasantly low caffeine level, so you can enjoy it all day long.

Origins
The production of organically grown teas is growing globally. Due to the demand, an increasing number of farmers are turning to organic farming. Even so, organic green teas are less available on the market than we would expect. China's Bancha Organic is proof that growing Chinese tea plants (Camellia sinensis) in a regime free of industrial fertilizers and treatment products is a good business move. Healthy lifestyle enthusiasts, vegans and vegetarians all have an interest in it.
Green tea with Organic certification is grown in China mainly in Fujian, Zhejiang or Jiangxi provinces. In the case of Bancha Organic, Japanese standards have been used to produce the tea. This means that the tea leaves were not heated on large pans after they were wilted, as is customary in China, but were intensively steamed several times with hot air. This stops the oxidation of the enzymes and preserves the natural aroma of the tea. Subsequently, the leaves were only lightly rolled. The result is a tea with large, slightly open leaves. The tea is then dried, graded according to quality and packaged.
This tea contains no harmful substances and has been grown without the contribution of fertilizers or chemical products.
