Ingredients
Green tea, Jasmine flowerBrew & Taste
Blooming Jasmine has a pleasant, light-golden color with an unobtrusive aroma of jasmine. The flavor is balanced, with refreshing green tea complemented by fragrant florals. This tea is mild, and the aroma is incredibly enticing.
Origins
Blooming teas, which you may also know as “flowering teas”, have their roots in China. Some sources say the tradition of making them dates back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD), but others claim that the first experiments with tying tea leaves with flowers and herbs appeared only in the 20th century.
The basis of this flowering tea is high-quality green tea. Thanks to the skilful hands of Chinese crafters, this little bundle hides a beautiful jasmine flower – one of the most fragrant plants to exist. Jasmine (Jasminum) is known for its sweet scent and white flowers. It‘s been used in the tea tradition for centuries. Most often, the flowers are added to tea during drying to absorb their intoxicating aroma. The result is jasmine tea – fragrant, floral, and slightly sweet.
If you want to enjoy a pot of blooming tea, make sure to clear your schedule – you’ll need the time to properly prepare and savor it. Just like people would in China, where tea is not just a drink, but a philosophy, an art, and a daily ritual. Take a break and absorb the present moment as the tea leaves unfurl in front of you. Give it a chance!
Place the flowering tea in a glass teapot or larger glass cup, pour hot water over it, and watch the Blooming Jasmine tea pearl slowly unfold into a mesmerizing bloom. One tea will make up to 3-4 infusions of light golden color and delicate jasmine aroma.
