Origin of the herb
Every sip of this blend contains a carefully crafted combination of herbs and fruits that complement each other not only in flavor but also in function. Let’s focus on three major ingredients that play a key role in the overall composition and are worth a closer look.
Moringa, sometimes referred to as the ""tree of life"", originates from the foothills of the Himalayas in northern India. Today, it's cultivated in the tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, Asia, and South America. It's an unassuming tree with small, oval, deep-green leaves that are often dried and used in teas. Its appearance won't really grab your attention, but that makes the valuable substances contained in its leaves are all the more surprising.
Moringa leaves are rich in:
- vitamins (A, C, E),
- minerals (iron, calcium, potassium),
- polyphenols and flavonoids,
- essential amino acids.
Matcha, a finely ground green tea powder, originated in Japan, where it has been a part of tea ceremonies for centuries. It's made from tea leaves that are shaded for several weeks before harvest to achieve a more vibrant color and higher content of active compounds. The resulting product has a vivid green hue and a velvety texture.
Matcha is valued for its content of:
- catechins (especially EGCG),
- L-theanine,
- slow-release caffeine,
- chlorophyll.
Goji, also known as Chinese wolfberry, originates from the regions of China and Tibet, where its berries have been used for thousands of years. They grow on a shrub with thin branches and small leaves; the berries themselves are small, elongated, and have a deep orange-red color. You might know them from tea blends, where they often appear in their dried form. Goji berries resemble tiny raisins but have a more pronounced, slightly tart flavor.
Goji berries contain:
- vitamins (C, A),
- carotenoids (especially zeaxanthin),
- polysaccharides,
- antioxidants.
It's the combination of these three ingredients that gives the blend not only its complex flavor profile but also depth you’ll appreciate with every sip.
