Golden Milk (Unsweetened) – Powder
No sugar, no softening. Unsweetened Golden Milk is an authentic mix of turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and pepper. It might not seem like it, but pepper plays a major role here: not only in the taste, but also in the absorption of curcumin – one of the most valued substances in turmeric. The result? An intense, warming beverage that's great in both winter and summer. Try something that actually works.

Get ready for a full, spicy taste that's not for everyone. But that's the charm! The first sip will have you feeling the spicy notes of ginger and pepper that's gradually combined with the warm, slightly sweet notes of cinnamon. Turmeric makes the whole blend more earthy and layered. The beverage feels strong, warming, and stays on your palate long after you've finished it. If you're used to milder, sweeter varieties, this will show the more authentic, raw impression.
Origins
Golden Milk draws on the Ayurvedic tradition, which uses spices not only as flavor enhancers but primarily as targeted support for the body. Three ingredients play a key role in this blend: turmeric, ginger, and pepper. Each has its own specific character, origin, and function. Together, however, they create a synergy that gives the drink its undeniable power.
Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is a tropical herb from the ginger family. It originates from India and Southeast Asia, where it's cultivated in warm and humid climates. At first glance, it'll catch your eye with its broad, deep green leaves and inconspicuous flowers. But its most valuable part is hidden underground – in its deep orange-colored rhizome. That's the part we harvest, dry, and grind into the powder you know as turmeric.
In terms of health benefits, turmeric is associated with supporting normal liver function, cardiovascular health, and blood circulation. It acts as an antioxidant, contributes to the normal condition of joints and bones, and also supports the nervous system, respiratory system, and skin.
Turmeric contains, for example:
- curcuminoids (curcumin),
- essential oils (turmerone),
- polysaccharides,
- vitamins, and minerals.
Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is another distinctive tropical plant that grows up to one meter in height. At first glance, it resembles a reed, as it has long, narrow leaves. As with turmeric, the key part is its rhizome, which is light yellow to beige in color and has a distinctly pungent aroma and taste. Ginger originates from Southeast Asia, but nowadays, it's cultivated in tropical regions all around the world.
It's valued for its positive effects on normal digestion and for supporting the cardiovascular system. It contributes to the body’s natural defenses, the immune system, and the normal function of the respiratory tract.
Ginger is rich in:
- gingerols and shogaols,
- essential oils,
- resins,
- B vitamins, and vitamin C.
Let’s also appreciate black pepper (Piper nigrum). It's a climbing vine native to India that has now spread to tropical regions all around the world. Its fruits are small round berries. These are harvested while still unripe and then dried, which gives them their characteristic black color and wrinkled surface.
We associate black pepper with digestion, support for the normal functioning of the nervous and respiratory systems, and healthy skin. Its effect on blood circulation in small blood vessels and capillaries is also a significant benefit. What's more, it also plays a crucial role when combined with turmeric, as it increases the absorption of curcumin.
Black pepper contains:
- piperine,
- essential oils,
- flavonoids,
- alkaloids.
Other ingredients in this blend, such as cinnamon, complement the overall health effects and flavor profile. Cinnamon supports normal blood sugar levels, digestion, and the cardiovascular system, while also acting as an antioxidant. Together, all the ingredients form a functional whole that builds on a thousand-year-old tradition and presents it in a modern yet intense form.
