Cinnamon Plum – Fruit Tea
Sweet plums have been popular since Ancient Greeks. It's not surprising that the juicy, oval-shaped fruit also appears in teas. Sprinkled with rooibos and dusted with cinnamon, they add flavor and aroma to make a delicious drink. Cinnamon Plum is a drink for winter and summer, morning and evening. It does not contain caffeine and it's naturally sweet. Simply splendid.

Origins
We have to look in several places for the origin of the ingredients in Cinnamon Plum tea. But its most essential ingredients are rooibos and plums. The former grows in South Africa, the latter in central Europe.
Rooibos, otherwise known as redbush tea, is made from the leaves and twigs of the Cape tea tree. About 150cm tall, the shrub grows only on the hillsides of the Cederberg Mountains in South Africa. It detests industrial pollution and requires very specific natural conditions. Thus, nowhere in the world has it been possible to establish a plantation where Cape tea bushes can thrive. After harvesting, the whole branches and their needle-like leaves are chopped up and piled in large heaps, where they are left to ferment for several hours, and is dried in the hot African sun.
Plums are the fruit of the plum tree that's native to almost everywhere in central Europe. The dark blue ovoid plums with a pit inside have a strong smell and juicy flesh. For the production of loose tea, large and ripe plums were preserved by freeze-drying. This way they have not lost their valuable vitamins, nor have they lost their natural flavor and aroma.
