You can easily recognize El Dorado loose-leaf tea by its wonderful, sweet pineapple-pear aroma. The infusion is pale yellow and tastes of bananas, mangoes and pineapples. This tea is wonderful to enjoy in the winter to warm yourself up and in the summer to cool down.
Origins
El Dorado is made from ingredients sourced from European suppliers. The advantage of this process is that their fruits, spices and nuts are all certified. We – and in turn, you – can be sure that our teas do not contain any heavy metals or any chemical residues. Moreover, the fruit has been processed very carefully. Large bits are preserved by freeze-drying. The result of this demanding technological process is a truly crisp, fragrant and very tasty fruit that looks just like fresh when covered in hot water. If we look at the origins of the most exotic ingredients, we'll learn about tropical regions and in many cases the connection with indigenous American tribes.
Papaya, the fruit of a giant Central American plant, was loved by the natives. And not only that, they used the leaves to marinate their meat. It made it much more tender. The spherical berries have sweet, juicy flesh and grey-black seeds inside. They are eaten either raw or made into jams and drinks. Papayas contain enzymes that aid digestion, while also helping to relieve inflammation.
America is also home to pineapple trees. South American natives even gave their fruit a name – anana. The typical fruit, with its pungent flavor and pleasant aroma, is eaten raw, juiced or fermented . Pineapples are extremely rich in the enzyme bromelin, which contributes to proper digestion. Scientists have also identified vitamins A, B1 and B2 as well as C, calcium, phosphorus, iron and potassium in pineapple.
Mango is native to Asia and is a great source of vitamins A, C and beta-carotene. The oval fruit with green or red skin smells wonderful and its sweet flesh is suitable for salads, fish, cheese and meat. In terms of benefits, eating mangoes helps to manage infections and colds, calm nerves and improve eyesight.
